Dead Poet Society | GQ Russia September 2011

At this point in time there are a few things on my mind, and two of them would be our upcoming Fall/Winter 2011 season for which I have to prepare my closet, and also my University which starts back in just a couple of weeks.  GQ Russia surprisingly made me excited for them both after releasing a spread entitled “Dead Poet Society,” which feature models Jacques Naude, Miles Garber, Bobby Nicholas and Sam Whitman and is shot by Yu Tsai. Edited by Ekaterina Melnikova, the models appear in a classic bunch of color-washed photos wearing amazing outerwear and suits from the likes of Balmain, Dolce & Gabbana, Burberry Prorsum, and tons more labels.

Models of the Moment | Current Favorites

Being busy and not knowing what to post to my blog is a horrible combination. I got up quite late this morning and sat wondering what I should publish today and at one point I just didn’t think I should post anything. But… after browsing the web for a bit, I decided I would give to you a round-up of 5 of my favorite models, both male and female.  With number 1 standing on their own, the other four of each category are in no particular order and of course it was hard to put this together since they’re so much great models out there whom I respect and love.

Topman Campaign | Fall 2011

With their usual sense of youthfulness, cool vibes and their fresh Bebop trend, Topman launches their Fall 2011 campaign, featuring models Josh McLellan and Sid Ellisdon. With essential male looks taking the forefront, they promote classic coolness with blazers and varsity jackets, while retaining their fun and quirky edge with leopard print tees, and a great deal of patterned shirts. Not to mention the cool all-denim looks which portray a very vintage or retro appeal. Shoe wise, with classic lace-ups or desert boots, one can never go wrong.

A Moment to Think

Without a doubt, I know that I have a lot of great things to look forward to in life, but for this past week, in my distance I felt as though I didn’t. I mean, we all have those times when we feel as though everything around us is coming down, but I felt as though everything that I was doing, or not doing, was making me confused or stressed. It may sound weird, since I’m usually accustomed to fun, laughter and love; however, this feeling was very unlike me, and it made me rethink tons of things, including whether I should go to New York this summer, or not. Knowing that I’m moving into the second year of blogging this month, I believe that all the hard work I’ve been up to, both online and physically, will pay off. As for relationships, I still have lots of great people to meet just like I did in my first year. In my opinion, fashion is an industry which allows me to enjoy everything I do, whether it’s writing articles, shopping or sitting at 15 minute fashion shows around the world. So no matter what happens now, this phase is definitely on its way out!! Although I’ve considered giving up on ‘everything’ a couple times, I won’t!  Why?  Because I’ve got a great life in the making, with amazing friends and family, and more importantly God, who has been incredibly good to me.

I definitely won’t let all of this go to waste, but for now, I think I’ll just re-focus, and plan for year-end. With these words of truth and in some way inspiration, let’s all remember quitting is for losers. No matter how hard it seems, never give up!

And so I’ll make it through…
