New York Fashion Week | The Introduction

The biggest event in the world of fashion has officially begun, and without a doubt, everyone is psyched and ready to have fun at the runway shows, and at Fashion’s Night Out!  Excuse my lack of posts for the last few days as well as in the near future (blame it on school), but I’m also working quite hard on other projects, and of course my new and revamped blog which should land in a week or two.  This morning I got to see the BCBG Max Azria live streamed show, and as always stunning pieces with great prints and architectural inspiration walked the runway. I can’t wait to post the full articles, but until then, I leave you with an exclusive look into Jason Wu’s fabulous collection which will be hitting the runway quite soon and is the ideal definition of  “Clean and Couture.”

Pulling on one of my favorite models Lindsey Wixson, who is a usual face for the label, Wu dons his ever-chic piece which screams feminine elegance and class at it’s best.  Soft in both color and texture, the shorts and top, which is tamed at the waist with a small leather belt and feature a bunch of sequins, both represent the next summer season well.

I am definitely looking forward to Christian Siriano, Tommy Hilfiger, Lacoste, Michael Kors, Vera Wang, Tory Burch, Diane Von Furstenburg, and tons more, so stay tuned!

Models of the Moment | Current Favorites

Being busy and not knowing what to post to my blog is a horrible combination. I got up quite late this morning and sat wondering what I should publish today and at one point I just didn’t think I should post anything. But… after browsing the web for a bit, I decided I would give to you a round-up of 5 of my favorite models, both male and female.  With number 1 standing on their own, the other four of each category are in no particular order and of course it was hard to put this together since they’re so much great models out there whom I respect and love.

Male Favorite | Robert Evans

From Top Left:  Noah Mills | Eryck Laframboise | David Agbodji | Marlon Teixeira

Female Favorite | Lara Stone

From Top Left: Lindsey Wixson | Liu Wen | Jourdan Dunn | Chanel Iman

Behind the Lens | David Urbanke

As soon as the week passed, I simply said onto the next one and readied myself to unleash another exclusive interview with one of fashion’s amazing photographers. (Of my generation of course) I was elated when David agreed to do this interview, simply because he and I are around the same age, and I get excited about people who have the same enthusiasm about success and reaching their goals like I do.  With a mind made up and a great future ahead, David and his Canon 5D Mark II has never failed to capture a great moment in the life of his fashion career.  Shooting with various models and agencies, David has been the boy behind the camera for many editorial spreads and features. Seemingly having a love for black & white photography, he never fails to amass all the emotion within his subject, and whether boy or girl, his sense of youthfulness always shines through.

How old are you and where are you from?

I’m 16 years old and from Berekley Heights, New Jersey but I moved into New York City in the beginning of June.

We all know how great New York City is, but is there anything you prefer New Jersey for?

Sometimes its nice to escape to New Jersey because Read the rest of this entry

Alexander Mcqueen | Le Campaign est Retourné

So after the death of the genius designer Alexander McQueen, all seemed to halt and there was a no-show of campaigns last year. The Fall 2010 collection came down the runway without him at a music-less and somber fashion show in Paris while a small audience of editors and crying assistants looked on.  Throughout the mourning however, the fashion label decided to continue under the direction of Sarah Burton and this season, the campaigns return.  Featuring 16-year old model Lindsey Wixson, the campaigns make a dazzling return and at this stage in her life where she seems to have found her model image…the campaign is beyond any other this Spring 2011 season. Check it!
