Models of the Moment | Current Favorites

Being busy and not knowing what to post to my blog is a horrible combination. I got up quite late this morning and sat wondering what I should publish today and at one point I just didn’t think I should post anything. But… after browsing the web for a bit, I decided I would give to you a round-up of 5 of my favorite models, both male and female.  With number 1 standing on their own, the other four of each category are in no particular order and of course it was hard to put this together since they’re so much great models out there whom I respect and love.

Male Favorite | Robert Evans

Givenchy Campaign Preview | Naomi Campbell & Rob Evans

I can’t begin to explain how beyond-blown-away I am with this campaign from Givenchy, featuring in my opinion two of the biggest models there are today. The stunning Naomi Campbell joins forces with the young and flawless Robert Evans to bring the power that Givenchy is known for within their latest campaign. With a hint of aggression and fabulous force, the two pose, shot by Mert & Marcus, in Givenchy’s intricately designed black pieces from Fall/Winter 2011 which was styled by Caroline Roitfeld. This is only a preview, and the fashion world is already raving. In’s behind the scenes video you can see a preview of the other campaign faces including Kristen McMenamy, Natalia Vodianova, Jonathan Marquez and of course, Mariacarla Boscono.

Jean-Paul Gaultier | Paris Menswear Spring/Summer 2012

Jean-Paul Gaultier never ceases to amaze me, and that’s the reason why his name has remained on my list of favorite designers for years. Presenting a collection filled with bold patterns, stripes and tartan, Gaultier held down the scene in Paris for a classic and cool themed summer while striping models down to basics and returning to the ‘old haute couture’ feel to a show. As a voice narrated to looks to the audience, I certainly enjoyed the constant repeat of models like Robert Evans, David Agbodji and Andrej Pejic, but apart from that, his collection (in my opinion) was simply stunning! Delivering picturesque prints with tropical inspiration and in keeping a slight focus on classic tailoring, his definition of British aesthetic, his multi-layered collection was done with the precision and the creativity, like no other could. Jean-Paul brought out a great deal of three-piece suits, bomber jackets, jeans, shorts and great shoes. And in getting a bit whimsical, bold patterned pants, shirts and shorts along with a spew of tartan layers and nautical sailor knits. Even though many themes flowed throughout the show, they were all fused together with Jean-Paul’s great touch, and setting another high bar for other collections to follow I look forward to seeing this season’s designs unfold. Check out my favorites below, and also the looks from the entire collection.

Rob Evans | Flow by Omar Macchiavelli for Schön Magazine

Robert Evans has overtime become my favorite male model, and luckily to that title I could add, a great friend. After complaining to me a couple of nights ago about him losing 40 lbs with his constant travel schedule, horrible diet and lack of days at the boxing ring, I see an amazing spread for Schön Magazine that for me puts all his concerns to rest, and let’s us all know that my Rob has still got the A game. Shot by photographer Omar Macchiavelli and entitled ‘Flow,‘ Rob makes a splash appearance doing stunning job in showing off his great physique and ever-flawless face. Wearing the likes of Paul Smith, J. Lindeberg and Fujiwara, Robert is style by Francesco Casarotto and groomed by Fabio D’Onofrio. The magazine which for this issue is covered by the incredible Leebo Freeman has become an instant favorite of mine and surely must find itself in my magazine pile this season.

La Mode Top 5 | May 2011

Phew! It feels like I haven’t posted in ‘foreva,’ well that’s honestly just because I’ve been working hard on lots of other stuff and working on the huge update coming this summer. I didn’t think I needed to announce this officially, but I’m now a Contributing Writer to about 3 online magazine which you would see photo’d in my sidebar, and I’m also interning with a designer for a month.

I’m getting pretty excited about all the changes to come, and I hope that you endure with me and adopt a bit a patience as I grow my brand into a bigger and better part of the fashion world.  Take it from me, this summer is going to change everything!

Nevertheless, I’ve still gotta do my best to keep you in the know of the fashion industry and with that said, let me enlighten you on the Top 5 posts for last month, the month of May. If you check out the image below, you’ll probably notice it’s different from the template I’ve been using for the last couple of months…it’s simple and I like it more. Rob Evans | Johnson Magazine

One of our favorites, the ever-flawless Robert Evans has brought another stunning shoot to the world of fashion. The soon to be supermodel with whom I spoke a couple of days ago stars in an editorial spread for the debut issue of Johnson Magazine. The shoot which was photographed by Christian Oita, features Rob in a black & white scheme showing off his flawless face and stunning physique.  Johnson, which is an independent bi-annual magazine is edited by Rob Meyer’s RBPM Studio in London, and will be available internationally starting SS 2011. The debut issue focuses on “the joy of boy”, featuring interviews with Joe Dallesandro and Tony Ward. The magazine is completely non-profit and all proceeds going to the “Keith Haring Foundation for Aids Research and The Creative Arts”.

Rob, who is proudly represented by Major Models, is styled for the mag by Matthew Josephs. We can definitely see the continuous growth of his career and as a modeling sensation already, we will be sure to see him ranking soon enough. If you didn’t see it before, make sure you check out his Model Profile which was the 2nd most popular post for the month of March HERE.
