Jeremy Scott | New York Fashion Week Spring/Summer 2012

Jeremy Scott never shies away from prints and patterns, and in preparation for next Spring/Summer season, there’s no change. Presenting a collection full of vintage and western inspiration, the effervescent designer shows us once more that he’s going for the kill.  The show opened with what looked like a ‘Denim Fever’ as models tromped down the runway wearing the likes of denim skirts, denim jumpsuits, and denim bra-tops. As for the men, a pair of denim shorts topped by a denim vest came down the runway, along with a fun pair of denim Dungarees.  Jeremy soon moved into his sleek selection of body hugging dresses, one boldly carrying an overall reoccurring pattern of the labels sunglasses collection.  Moving towards the sea and sand, a swimsuit came down the runway and instead of being covered in the usual print of flowers, there were cactus all over.  This along with fringed clothing made the western influence noticeable, and to make things a bit louder a model strutted down the runway wearing a belt which carried to gun pouches on each side.  As usual, the collection was filled with lots of skin and male models like Sebastian Sauve and Travis Cannata, seemed to be bearing it all.  Denim, fringe, leather, cactus and cow patterns, seemed to be enough to get Scott’s point across, and once again Jeremy Scott showed why youthful and fun collections are filled with creativity and style. I really loved the shoes by the way! 😀 Check out my favorite looks below, along with the entire collection.

Stephen Christopher | Style Icon

After sitting down and compiling a few questions for my upcoming Style Icon features, I finally got the ball rolling with Mr Stephen Christopher who is without a doubt…simply Dope! The amazing and fun young fashion star thanked me for choosing him and getting down to the interview he was just plain fun and high-spirited. This fashionisto who is a basically a stylist and designer, caught my eye about a month ago, and I knew he was destined for ‘La Mode.’ Check out his responses to my questions below along with some stunning photos to show you what he’s working with.

Robert Evans : Model Profile

Being popularly seen wandering around the world of fashion in a leopard print Givenchy Spring 2011 piece for which he became famous, was Robert James Evans who is said to be the next male mega-model. I do agree with this statement without a doubt and definitely believe that Rob’s flawless and well structured face and body will be appearing much more in tons of magazines and on hundreds of runways. After one look at this man, whom some may describe as amazingly stunning and incomparable to any other, one cannot forget his striking looks and not far from perfect physique. Born in Banbury, Oxfordshire, Rob Evans as he is informally known is 23 years old and is an avid boxer and a champion to many. “While boxing in my local  gym in Banbury, like I do everyday”, he said, “someone came to me and said that they would like to shoot me, cause they think I could become a model.” Of course he said yes, and he is now off to being the supermodel that he was destined to be. With his kind spirit, amazing look and cool English accent, he continues to grace the pages of many fashion blogs and shoot with prominent photographers like Tarrice Love and more recently Joseph Bleu. Between this Fall/Winter season and last Spring 2011 season, he has been seen walking in both the shows of Givenchy and in S/S of Jeremy Scott. Currently represented by Read the rest of this entry

Jeremy Scott | Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week NYFW

Looks for the wanna-be super hero, for the fur lover and for lovers of God, but who doesn’t love a little Jeremy Scott. Jeremy Scott is on the ‘favorite designer’ list of many including me, and he devoutly believes that we should all have fun with fashion and it shouldn’t be like a church that we ‘pray’ to.  Opening up the show with an interestingly redesigned Coca Cola Tee saying ‘Enjoy God,’ the amazing designer brought another fun and great collection down the runway. Bursts of color was ‘Loud’ and from head to toe, models were clad in the most bright-colored outfits this season.  Evidently there was a strong 90’s influence and from the looks of it, the avid party goer was in full effect. Plastic and fur jackets, mini skirts and cropped dresses flooded the show and without a doubt I can see that this collection  is definitely up for a great year. I may get a couple of pieces for my great closet shift coming this year, but until them, check out my favorites and the entire show below.

Jeremy Scott | S/S 2011

I ultimately fell in love with designer Jeremy Scott after seeing his collection with the inspiration of  fashion being the muse and also his awesome shoe collaboration with Addidas. The following collection uses simple elements to create ‘Haute Couture’ at its best. His creativity spans none other and without further delay…here is Jeremy Scott’s Summer Spring 2011.

Nothing less than true style…and if you are unfamiliar with this designer, he is the master-mind behind these stylish shoes with Addidas.
