Dsquared² | Milan Menswear Spring/Summer 2012

Youthful as always, Dsquared² opened the last the day of Milan Menswear Fashion Week. With a great collection filled with color block and great choices for the hot weather, I was looking forward to seeing and reviewing the collection since yesterday. Now that’s it’s finally here, I am certainly not disappointed and I can say without any doubt, that behind D&G they were my favorite. With a couple of female looks popping in between, brothers Dean & Dan Caten proved why they are the power duo with a collection filled with layers. Colorful parkas, graphic tees, jackets, blazers, jeans and chinos were all elements that made up the basic Dsquared² Summer Man. Accessories like sunglasses, hats, necklaces, scarves, neck-ties and belts made most of the looks complete. Hot swimwear was probably the highlight though, as near perfect models strutted their stuff in an array of colorful shorts and speedos. Fabrics like leather and denim were combined to make the perfect jacket, while other jackets stood out in their color with linen, cotton and polyester. With my lot of words, I guess D&G and Dsquared² can be on the same level for me. But whatever the choice, no one can deny that this collection like their many others was incredible versatile and worth the buy. Check out my favorites from today’s show, along with all the show photos below.
