Jean Paul Gaultier RTW | Paris Fashion Week Fall 2011

I’m extremely sorry for the late post, but my network seems to be having some trouble and all in all I’ve just been busy for the last week. This collection around, I am proud once more to call Mr. Jean Paul Gaultier my favorite designer followed by Marc Jacobs. Nonetheless, the talented designer presented another amazing collection for the eyes of ‘fashionistos’ and ‘fashionisatas’ to gaze upon in Paris this weekend pass. I was incredibly amused when French comedian Valérie Lemercier opened the show, showcasing that she is definitely not too old to walk the runway. Striptease? I must say I saw tons of garments like overcoats and scarfs falling to the ground as models Sessilee Lopez, Frida Gustavsson and many other big names sauntered the awesome looks down the runway. Pertaining to the collection itself, most of the looks were crafted from bulky fabric like tweed, leather and I also saw some leather and of course plaid. Something quite new and fresh were the colorful patterns that were sometimes thrown on as a scarf or worn as an inside satin shirt. Overall…I say Bravo once again to the incredible Gaultier and all the models. Check out my favorites and the show photos below.
