D&G | Milan Fashion Week Fall/Winter 2011

I am always astonished at the amazing collections that walk down the runway from the superb designing duo, Stefano Gabbana and Domenico Dolce, but the two have somehow crawled near the top of my favorite designers list having pulled off two amazing power packed collections for D&G; first the menswear show, now one for the women. As the models strutted down the runway, all I saw was tons of bold color, creative patterns and wedged-heel laced shoes on the feet of models like Constance Jablonski and Fei Fei Sun. Blaring from the sound system was Madonna’s song Vogue, which has always been a favorite of mine and one that was being mixed into the soundtrack for my own collection show. However, the fabulous collection contained fun dresses, overcoats, pants and tops all decked off with plastic accessories and their fun touch. Taking us back to mid-eighties was how they did it and without a doubt, we all liked it. I am more than sure that today fashion blogs like mine will be raving about the amazing collection, but check out my favorite looks below and then the entire collection.

These ‘Pom-Pom’ dresses above were all a favorite of mine, and they definitely closed the show well!
